Exit Devices
CPSL offers and installs a variety of styles and brands of exit devices. We are proud to recommend Arrow and Von Duprin Exit Devices. Exit devices or "panic bars" are door mounted security and safety devices which allow free egress at all times while maintaining control of entry. Exit devices can be Rim type, Mortise type, or Vertical Rod (concealed or surface) type.
RIM EXIT DEVICES are surface mounted exit devices which are usually mounted on the surface of the secured side of a door.
MORTISE EXIT DEVICES are those exit devices whose locking mechanism is mounted or mortised into the door.
SURFACE or CONCEALED VERTICAL ROD EXIT DEVICES contain vertical rods that come off the exit device and add additional latching at the tops and or bottoms of doors.
